Willoughby is a residential and commercial area, located within the Township of Langley. It is also home to the Township's municipal hall, four elementary schools, one high school and the Langley Events Centre.

Many shopping and commercial office areas provide independent and big box retail shopping, multiple grocery stores, auto dealerships and legal, financial and other services for residents of Langley and neighbouring communities, such as Clayton and Cloverdale. Just to the south of Willoughby, in the City of Langley, there are industrial and other businesses providing employment and services to the Fraser Valley.
Commute.
Good commutability for east and west bound commuters is provided via 200th Street and Highway 1, to the North, as well as Highway 10 to the south of Willoughby. Translink bus service is accessible to most area residents via main roads and the Carvolth Exchange, which provides a Park & Ride facility.
Full-time fire protection is provided by the Township of Langley. As with other town centres in Langley, policing is provided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

Bounded by Highway 1, to the north, 64th Avenue to the South, and Glover Road to the east, Willoughby consists of several residential areas - Willoughby, Willoughby Heights, Yorkson Creek, Langley Meadows and Willowbrook - and shopping and commercial areas. Willoughby has experienced major growth, with many newer homes, townhomes, condominiums and row houses popping up in this area in recent years, as well as services and housing specifically designed for seniors.
Country charm still remains in Willoughby, on the eastern slope, in the rural village of Milner. Milner is home to the Langley Acres equestrian facility, Milner Valley Cheese and several garden centres and nurseries.
